Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026  ·  Effective date: January 2026

The short version: ConvertPlus is built privacy-first by design. We use broad demographic zone-level slabs — not precise personal data or GPS coordinates. Our API is stateless and does not build persistent user profiles. We never sell data. Publishers control what they share with us.

1. Who We Are

ConvertPlus ("we", "us", "our") is a digital advertising technology company registered in Nepal, operating the ConvertPlus banner management platform accessible at convertplusads.com. We provide API-based banner management services connecting publishers (digital platforms) and advertisers (brands and merchants) in Nepal's digital ecosystem.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at: tushar.agrawal@convertplusads.com

2. Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to three groups:

  • Publishers — platforms and apps that integrate the ConvertPlus API
  • Advertisers — brands and merchants running campaigns through ConvertPlus
  • End users — users of publisher platforms who may see banners served by ConvertPlus

3. Our Core Privacy Principle: Stateless REST API

The ConvertPlus platform operates on a stateless REST API architecture. This means:

  • Each banner request is independent. We do not maintain session state between requests.
  • We do not build persistent user profiles on our servers based on targeting requests.
  • Targeting data sent with each API request is used solely to determine the most relevant banner for that single request and is not stored to create individual user histories.
  • No individual user is tracked across sessions, across publishers, or over time.

This is a fundamental architectural choice, not just a policy commitment. The system is designed so that persistent individual tracking is technically not possible through our standard API flow.

4. Data We Collect

4.1 From Publishers (via API)

When publishers make banner requests through the ConvertPlus REST API, they may optionally pass targeting parameters. These are used only for that specific request. Parameters include:

  • Gender category (e.g. male, female, other) — optional
  • Age slab (e.g. 18–25, 26–35) — optional, never precise age
  • Location (zone/region level) — optional. Some publishers collect GPS coordinates from their users as part of their own platform's functionality (for example, to show local services). Where a publisher passes GPS coordinates to the ConvertPlus API, we convert those coordinates to a broad geographic zone or regional category (such as district or province) for targeting purposes only. Raw GPS coordinates are not stored, retained, or used directly in our algorithm — only the derived zone-level category is used, and only for the duration of that single API request.
  • Transaction value range (e.g. NPR 0–1,000 / 1,000–5,000) — optional, never precise transaction amounts
  • Time of day and day of week — derived automatically from request timestamp
  • Industry or content category of the placement context — optional

Publishers are never required to pass any targeting data. If no targeting data is provided, the request is handled as a generic placement and priced accordingly. If a publisher passes GPS coordinates, they are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate permissions from their users to do so.

4.2 From Advertisers (via dashboard)

When advertisers register and use the ConvertPlus dashboard, we collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, company name, phone number
  • Payment information: billing details for campaign payments (processed securely; we do not store full card numbers)
  • Campaign data: ad creatives, targeting settings, budgets, and campaign performance records

4.3 From Publishers (via dashboard)

When publishers register and use the ConvertPlus dashboard, we collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, platform name, phone number
  • Platform details: traffic estimates, placement configurations, pricing settings
  • Aggregate reporting data: impression counts, click counts, revenue earned

4.4 Website usage data

When you visit convertplusads.com, we may collect standard website analytics data including pages visited, referrer URL, browser type, and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregate and not linked to individual identities.

5. How We Use Data

We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:

  • Banner serving: Targeting parameters in API requests are used to select the most relevant banner for that request. They are not stored to build user histories. GPS coordinates, if provided, are converted to zone categories and not stored.
  • Reporting: Aggregate click and view data is compiled and made available to publishers and advertisers through their dashboards. Reports show segment-level data — never individual user data.
  • Account management: Account data is used to operate your publisher or advertiser account, process payments, and communicate with you about your account.
  • Platform improvement: Aggregate, anonymised data may be used to improve the performance of our algorithm and platform.
  • Legal compliance: Where required by Nepal law.

We do not use your data for any other purpose. We do not sell data to third parties. We do not use data for behavioural profiling across sessions.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between publishers and advertisers: Advertisers receive aggregate performance reports (views, clicks, segment breakdowns) for their campaigns. Individual user data is never shared. Publishers receive aggregate reports about their placements.
  • Service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. hosting, payment processing). These providers are contractually bound to process data only as we instruct.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required to do so by Nepali law, court order, or government authority.

7. Publisher Responsibilities

Publishers who integrate the ConvertPlus API are responsible for:

  • Ensuring they have appropriate legal basis to share the targeting data they pass to the ConvertPlus API with their end users
  • Where GPS coordinates are passed to the API, ensuring their users have been informed and have consented to location data being used for advertising targeting purposes
  • Informing their end users (in their own privacy policies) that banner ads may be served by a third-party API and that broad demographic and zone-level data may be used for targeting
  • Only passing targeting data categories they are entitled to share
  • Complying with applicable Nepali law regarding data collection and use on their platforms

8. Advertiser Responsibilities

Advertisers who use ConvertPlus are responsible for:

  • Ensuring their ad creatives comply with applicable laws and ConvertPlus content standards (see Terms of Service)
  • Not requesting or attempting to access individual user data through the platform
  • Using campaign data solely for the purposes of managing their own campaigns

9. Data Security

All data transmitted to and from the ConvertPlus API is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a data security incident that affects your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

10. Data Retention

  • API targeting parameters (including GPS-derived zone data): Not retained beyond the serving of a single banner request (stateless processing).
  • Aggregate reporting data: Retained for a maximum of 24 months to enable historical campaign analysis.
  • Account data: Retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period after account closure as required by legal and financial obligations.
  • Financial records: Retained for 7 years in accordance with Nepali accounting and tax law.

11. Cookies

The convertplusads.com website may use cookies for basic functionality (session management for logged-in users) and aggregate analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on our own website.

The ConvertPlus banner serving API does not set cookies on end users of publisher platforms.

12. Children's Privacy

The ConvertPlus platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Your Rights

If you are a publisher or advertiser with an account on ConvertPlus, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about your account
  • Correct inaccurate account data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise these rights, contact: tushar.agrawal@convertplusads.com

Because we do not build persistent profiles of end users of publisher platforms, we are generally unable to identify, retrieve, or delete data relating to a specific end user by name or identifier.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify active publishers and advertisers by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
